Percussion

An adaptable and vibrant performer, Tallulah is confident performing within a huge range of settings and genres. During her time at University, Tallulah featured on BBC Introducing, a platform for undiscovered UK talent. As a member of the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra and City of Hull Brass Band, she entertains large audiences around the country, and is confident performing under pressure in live competitions such as the National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain, and internationally in the Danish competition.

Tallulah’s experience extends into Musical Theatre too; Sweeney Todd, School of Rock, and West Side Story are just some of the local shows where she has featured in the pit band. Working alongside local Hull DJs, one of Tallulah’s recent projects sees her adding a live percussive twist to House and Club nights around the city. With her love for a percussive challenge, Tallulah has found herself playing everything from plant pots to tuned glass bottles, and even using a doorstop to play a snare drum!

Tallulah is available for percussion performance roles across the country.

Drumming

The drum kit was Tallulah’s first love.

She is a spontaneous yet dependable drummer who is as comfortable reading sheet music as she is improvising. Whether playing Contemporary, Pop, Classical, Jazz, Funk, Rock, Soul, Latin or even House music, Tallulah is at ease. As part of “The Jazz Aesthetic” lead by Peter Elsdon, and the University of Hull Big Band, Tallulah furthered her performance experience throughout University. This culminated in her final solo drum kit performance earning her the Andrew Brown Memorial Prize for best performance.

Well-known in the Hull area, she can be seen on kit for the BBC Humberside/Look North Pantomime. With experience recording, deputising, and even leading musical productions from her drum kit, Tallulah is a multi-talented performer. Tallulah can provide a variety of equipment tailored to the genre she’s playing, including her assorted collection of percussion instruments.

Sound Engineering

Tallulah’s first-class degree in Creative Music Technology provided the foundation for a career in sound engineering. Her MA in Music, specialising in Orchestral & Ensemble Production and Performance, gave her the opportunity to produce a range of stereo, surround, and ambisonic orchestral/ensemble recordings.

Roles at major stadiums across the north of England gave Tallulah hands-on experience at live events. Overseeing audio-visual operations at live gigs, club nights, conferences and more helped Tallulah’s experience in the live sound and recording industry grow. TAP Duo’s recent album “As One” was recorded by Tallulah, involving both studio and external recording locations.

  • Live sound engineering (FOH and monitoring)
  • Recording, editing, mixing and mastering
